100 Thieves Release Cody Sun

23-years-old Canadian player Cody Sun has become a free agent – the player and the American organization 100 Thieves have parted ways after a second 1-season tenure.

Cody Sun is an AD Carry player, who has been playing for 100 Thieves since last year. This season the team placed 5-6th at LCS Spring and finished 7-8th at LCS Summer, failing to advance to the World Championship. Earlier Cody Sun played for 100 Thieves in the 2017-18 season – then he managed to become the runner-up of NA LCS Spring 2018. He played at the World Championship twice – first in 2017 with Immortals and placed 14-16th, and then in 2019 with Clutch Gaming and placed 13-16th.

After the departure of Cody Sun, the main 100 Thieves roster in League of Legends now includes only four players: Kim "Ssumday" Chan-ho, Juan "Contractz" Artruro Garcia, Tommy "Ryoma" Le and Philippe "poome" Lavoie-Giguere. The organization also has an academy roster, which currently includes six players, with Jacob "Prismal" Feinstein on the ADC role.
