100 Thieves Win LCS Summer 2021

The summer split of the North American League Championship Series has concluded. In its grand finals 100 Thieves defeated Team Liquid with a 3-0 score. For 100 Thieves, this is their first championship title since the team’s creation in 2018.

Thanks to placing second in the regular season 100 Thieves started the playoffs stage from the semifinals. There they defeated Evil Geniuses (3-2), while later in the Winners’ Finals lost to Team Liquid (2-3). In the lower bracket final they faced Cloud9, finishing the series with a 3-1 score in their favour. In the grand finals 100 Thieves managed to avenge their earlier loss and win all three maps.

Both 100 Thieves and Team Liquid will represent North America in the group stage of 2021 World Championship. Meanwhile Cloud9 will fight for their place at the event in the Play-In stage.
