The Danish esports event operator BLAST has announced that BIG are the final partnered member of their CS:GO circuit BLAST Premier. The German organization has replaced 100 Thieves, who earlier disbanded their Counter-Strike division. The slot has been allocated after a “highly competitive bidding process”, says BIG’s CEO Daniel Finkler.

Last season BIG competed in the series as a replacement team – they managed to place 4-6th in the Fall Regular Season, which allowed them to qualify for the seasonal finals, where they finished 3rd. Currently the team is ranked #4 in the world, according to hltv.

The previous season of BLAST Premier concluded last week, with Natus Vincere defeating Astralis in its finals to claim $600,000 in prize money. The new season will start on February 4th with the Spring Groups, featuring a $150,000 prize pool. The groups will be shared tomorrow.
