BLAST Fall Group B Results: BIG Eliminate G2 to Showdown

Despite being widely regarded as favourites of group B at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021, G2 Esports lost 0-2 to BIG in the group’s lower finale. Thus, the team failed to qualify for the Fall Finals and instead will compete at the Fall Showdown.

In the groups grand finals, BIG faced Ninjas in Pyjamas. The series ended with a 2-1 score – although BIG managed to win the first map Dust II (16:14), later they lost at Mirage (13:16) and Inferno (5:16). While NiP received twice as much of prize money ($25,000 against $12,500), both teams qualified for the seasonal finals.

Group B Bracket:

The final group of the event will begin tomorrow. The first match is scheduled for 3:30 PM UK time and will feature NAVI playing with OG, which will be the first game between the teams in a year. In the second match, which will begin on 6:30 PM, Complexity will face FaZe.

BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021 is an online event with $150,000 at stake, however most of the participants are there to try to qualify for the league’s Fall Finals – while best six teams advance to the finals, the other six teams will compete in the Showdown. Earlier Group A concluded with Vitality defeating Astralis (2-1) in its final game.
