CS Summit 8: Liquid and FURIA Advance to Upper Bracket Finals

The playoffs stage of cs_summit 8 has begun yesterday evening. In its first series Team Liquid outplayed paiN Gaming (2-0), while FURIA Esports managed to beat Extra Salt (2-1). The winners of these series will face each other in the upper bracket final, which is scheduled for May 28th, 10:30 PM UK time.

Tonight the event will feature the first round of the lower bracket, where the earlier defeated teams will face those who placed 3rd in the groups. First, Extra Salt will face EXTREMUM (10:30 PM), and then paiN Gaming will compete with O Plano (1:30 AM). These teams have already faced each other in the groups – then Extra Salt and paiN outplayed their opponents with a 2-0 score.

CS Summit 8 is a North American Regional Major Rankings event that features eight teams in a competition for $50,000 and a handful of RMR-points. The event will conclude on May 30th – the winner of the bo5 grand finals will claim $17,000 and 1600 points.
