Dev1ce Leaves Astralis to Join Ninjas in Pyjamas
Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz has been officially transferred from Astralis to Ninjas in Pyjamas. In his new team he will replace Tim "nawwk" Jonasson, who has been listed for transfer. The player has been signed for three years.
25-years-old Danish player dev1ce has been playing for Astralis since its creation if early 2016. With them he emerged victorious at numerous premier events, among which are four majors – StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, IEM XIII Katowice Major 2019, FACEIT Major: London 2018 and ELEAGUE Major: Atlanta 2017.
Dev1ce shared that it was a tough decision to leave Astralis as he considers his former teammates a family. One of the reasons to leave was the fact that he has been living in Sweden for some time now and has learned the language. Apparently, the player did not want to move back to Denmark after the lockdown is lifted.
Even without dev1ce, Astralis now officially have five players in their CS:GO roster. Recently there were reports that the team has been testing different line-ups. However, the team’s management confirmed that they will compete at the upcoming DreamHack Masters Spring with Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen, who earlier was considered a sixth player.
