Dota Plus Spring Update Improves Hero Relics, Adds Quests and Rewards

VALVE have released a Spring Update for the Dota Plus subscription, which introduces changes to Hero Relics, a new treasure and a set of seasonal quests and rewards.

The update adds a new way to level a hero – each time you reach a specific value in a Hero Relic, you gain additional Hero XP. Common relics grant 5 experience per level, while rare relics grant 30 XP. The update also changed the way you can acquire the relics – players will be able to get a random common relic for 1,600 shards and buy a random rare relic for 8,000 shards. Besides that, players will no longer receive duplicates.

As Turbo mode remains popular among players, the developers have decided to enable both Hero Relics and Hero Challenges in that mode. However, the speed of relics levelling is decreased by half, and players will be able to get up to 1 star for Hero Challenges per match.

The update also introduces the Spring 2021 Seasonal Treasure – as usual, the treasure can be purchased for shards by Dota Plus members. It contains sets for the following heroes: Bloodseeker, Windranger, Clockwerk, Slark, Lich, Broodmother, Sand King, Drow Ranger, Pugna, Juggernaut, and Magnus. Besides that, players will have a chance to get the Mango the Newt Courier.

On top of that, the update also added a set of new quests so that players can get up to 115,200 shards over the season. Finally, the guilds rewards have also been updated, with silver tier guilds receiving a set of emoticons, gold guilds receiving sprays, and platinum guilds getting chat wheel phrases.
