EPIC League: NAVI Lose to a Team from Qualifiers in the Very First Playoffs Match

Natus Vincere have suffered an unexpected defeat in their very first playoffs match at EPIC League 2021 Spring CIS – one of the strongest teams in the world, who are currently ranked by hltv #2 in the world, lost to a new team Akuma, which consists of young Ukrainian players.

The first map, Mirage, was picked by Akuma and ended with a devastating 16-2 score. NAVI’s superstar s1mple finished this map with a 0.20 rating, which is the worst result in his 5-years history of playing for the team. Natus Vincere also failed to win their pick, Dust 2, losing with a 16-10 score. Now NAVI will face forZe in the first round of the lower bracket, which will be played later today on 8:00 PM BST.

EPIC CIS League Spring 2021 is an RMR-event played online from May 12th to 30th, featuring sixteen teams competing for a $40,000 prize pool. It’s winner will receive $15,000 and 1600 RMR-points.
