NAVI Crowned Champions of ESL Pro League Season 20
On the evening of September 22, the champion of ESL Pro League Season 20 was decided. The grand final saw NAVI face off against Eternal Fire for the title of the best team.
The two teams had already met in the Group A final, where NAVI emerged victorious with a 2:0 score. On their way to the final, Aleksib's squad defeated Team Spirit (2:0) and G2 Esports (2:1). Eternal Fire, in their playoff run, overcame The Mongolz (2:1), Team Vitality (2:1), and MIBR (2:0).
The best-of-five grand final began with Eternal Fire claiming victory on Nuke (NAVI's map pick) with a 13:8 score, after which NAVI responded by taking their opponent's map, Anubis, with a 13:11 score. On the third map, Ancient, NAVI pulled ahead in the series (13:11), but on the following map, Inferno, the Turkish team tied the series once again with a dominant 13:4 win.
The deciding fifth map was Dust2, where Natus Vincere edged out Eternal Fire in a hard-fought battle with a 13:10 score.
For their victory, NAVI earned not only $170,000 from the $750,000 prize pool but also an invitation to IEM Katowice 2025.
