Extra Salt Defeat PaiN to Win DreamHack 2021 March NA
Extra Salt, a team consisting mostly of former Cloud9 players, has become the winner of the North American division of DreamHack Open March 2021. In the tournament’s grand finals they outplayed paiN Gaming with a 3-0 score, securing $35,000 in prize money and qualifying for IEM XVI – Summer.
Both Extra Salt and paiN Gaming started the event in Group B, where they placed first and second respectively. Later in the semifinals Extra Salt defeated High Coast Esports (2-0), while paiN outplayed Team Liquid (2-1). In the grand finals Extra Salt emerged victorious at Inferno (16:12), Train (16:13) and Mirage (16:14).

Playoffs Bracket:
Yesterday was also the final day of the South American division – in its final series Imperial Esports defeated Sharks Esports (3-1), thus winning $15,000 and a ticket to IEM Summer 2021.
