Gambit Might Sell their CS:GO Roster

Esports insider Alexey OverDrive Birykov has announced that Gambit Esports are looking to sell their CS:GO line-up. The Russian organization has neither confirmed nor denied this information.

The possible decision to sell the roster seems to be forced by the restrictions the organization has been facing recently. Due to the Russian invasion into Ukraine, two biggest event hosts in the CS:GO scene – ESL and BLAST – have limited participation Russian teams in their tournaments. While ESL prohibited Gambit and Virtus.pro to be represented at ESL Pro League 15 due to “apparent ties to the Russian government”, BLAST decided to exclude all Russian-based teams from their upcoming events. Moreover, a number of CIS events have been cancelled altogether.

Earlier Gambit allowed their players to partake in EPL 15 without representing the organization. There the team will compete simply as Players. They were seeded into Group C alongside Liquid, GODSENT, BIG, Movistar Riders, Party Astronauts.
