Gambit Win IEM XVI Summer

Gambit Esports have won yet another event – currently the strongest team in the world has emerged victorious at IEM XVI – Summer. In the grand finals they managed to defeat OG with a devastating 3-0 score, claiming $100,000 in prize money and a point towards Intel Grand Slam.

Having advanced to the playoffs from the third place in their group, Gambit Esports started the elimination stage in the quarterfinals. There they defeated Evil Geniuses (2-0), while later they also outplayed G2 Esports (2-0) in the semifinals. In the grand finals they emerged victorious at Mirage (16:14), Dust II (16:11) and Overpass (16:7).

For Gambit Esports, this is the fourth major victory this year – earlier they also placed first at IEM XV – World Championship, BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2021 and EPIC CIS League Spring 2021.
