GODSENT Place First at DreamHack Open September

GODSENT have acquired their biggest victory since the roster’s formation in January – the team has placed first in the North American division of DreamHack Open September 2021. The grand finals between them and Extra Salt lasted for over seven hours and ended with a 3-2 score. This victory brings GODSENT a place at EPL 15 Conference and $35,000 in prize money.

Both GODSENT and Extra Salt started the event in Group B, where they placed first and second respectively. In the semifinals GODSENT outplayed Team One (2-1), while Extra Salt defeated paiN Gaming (2-1). In the grand finals both teams lost their picks – GODSENT were defeated on Nuke (8:16) and Inferno (14:16), but emerged victorious at Ancient (16:6), Vertigo (19:17), and Dust II (22:20).

Now both GODSENT and Extra Salt (thanks to winning DH Open June) will compete at ESL Pro League Conference Season 15 – an online event, where 16 teams will fight for three invites to ESL Pro League 15. The conference will be played on November 23rd – 28th.

However, the next event for the team is IEM XVI – Fall: North America, the final RMR-event before PGL Stockholm Major scheduled for October 5th – 10th. There they will compete in Group B alongside FURIA, EG, One, 00Nation and Triumph. Currently GODSENT have no RMR-points as they missed the region’s previous RMR-event, cs_summit 8.
