Heroic Explained What Confidential Information Was Shared by HUNDEN

Despite their earlier plans to not release additional comments on ESIC’s ban of their former coach Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen, Heroic have clarified what confidential information was shared by him to their opponent.

The organization states that the information shared by HUNDEN with the team’s unnamed opponent was not developed by him alone, but in collaboration with players or by the players themselves. The documents contained “what our team look for, how we think, how we outplay our opponents […] it describes our philosophies in specific scenarios, and how we want to abuse and manipulate rotations”. Besides that, these documents give “detailed instruction on how we act vs set teams, how we want to play vs specific smokes, and what exactly we look for in our preparation”.

Heroic believe that by restricting access to this material, HUNDEN deliberately limited the team’s ability to prepare for IEM Cologne. Moreover, their contract with HUNDEN states that all intellectual property developed within the contract period is owned by Heroic.

Earlier HUNDEN admitted that he shared “anti-strat material” with another team, which is now almost confirmed to be Astralis. He believes that his actions could not harm his team and that he did it only after the organization had prohibited him from contacting with players.
