IG Reverse Sweep EG in the Singapore Major’s Grand Finals
The grand finals of ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 featured the best teams of North America and China – although Evil Geniuses won the first two maps, Invictus Gaming managed to make a reverse sweep and finished the series in their favour. The winners claimed $200,000 in prize money and 500 DPC points, while the runner-ups received $100,000 and 450 points.
Being the winners of their regional DPC leagues, both IG and EG started the event in the playoffs upper bracket. The American team managed to make it all the way through the upper bracket, defeating Fnatic (2-0), IG (2-0), and PSG.LGD (2-1) on their way. Meanwhile IG outplayed Vici Gaming (2-1) in the first round, and after dropping to the lower bracket managed to beat Thunder Predator (2-1), Team Secret (2-0) and PSG.LGD (2-1).

ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 was the first major Dota 2 LAN event since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic – being held from March 27th to April 4th, the event featured 16 teams competing for $500,000 and 2700 DPC points.
