JW Considers Creating a New Swedish Team
Jesper "JW" Wecksell has announced that he will no longer play for GORILLAZ, a team co-founded by Robin "flusha" Rönnquist and Miikka "suNny" Kemppi. While his plans for the next year are not set in stone, he considers creating a new team in Sweden. However, he remains open for suggestions.
26-years-old Swedish player JW for the majority of last eight years has been a part of Fnatic. With them he managed to win three major events, namely DreamHack Winter 2013, ESL One Katowice 2015 and ESL One Cologne 2015. This year, however, the team has been extremely underperforming, and JW was benched in July.
Lately JW played for GORILAZZ at several events as a stand-in. The team failed to make it through the open qualifier for IEM XVI – Winter, as well as competed in the online stage of Elisa Invitational Winter 2021 – there they finished 6th in the regional stage, advancing to the main Swiss stage. Earlier Robin "flusha" Rönnquist also announced his departure from the team.
