Meta4Pro Withdraw from DreamLeague 14 DPC EU Lower Division
The organizers of the European Dota Pro Circuit event DreamLeague Season 14 have announced that Meta4Pro decided to withdraw from the tournament’s lower bracket. The club suspects that some of its players might have been involved in match-fixing.
The organization decided to withdraw following the previous matches versus Hippomaniacs and burjui. Although the management believes that some of the players were not playing fair, they are currently not ready to disclose further information. Meanwhile, DreamHack in cooperation with ESIC started their own investigation and informed VALVE.
Meta4Pro qualified to the lower division through the second open qualifier. At the event itself, the team lost the first five matches in a row and was at the bottom of the group. Due to their withdrawal, past results have been nullified and their final two matches have been voided.
The format of the lower bracket remains the same, with top two teams advancing to the upper bracket of the second season. Current leaders of the group are Creepwave (5-1) and Brame (4-2). The tournament will conclude on February 24th.
