RIOT Games Announce 2021 VALORANT Champions Tour

While the first major VALORANT event First Strike begins just in a week, RIOT Games have already shared their plans for the next competitive season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are currently not be able to organize LAN-events – however, they want to make events offline as soon as possible.

The official circuit will be called VALORANT Champions Tour and will include three levels of competitions: Challengers, Masters and Champions. The Challengers events are the regional qualifiers, which will consist of several levels and be open for everyone. The best Challengers teams will qualify for the Masters events, which are major regional tournaments. Valorant Champions is the pinnacle of the season, with best teams from all regions competing against each other.

The season will begin in late January, while the final event will take place in December. The season will include three pairs of Challengers and Masters events, as well as have a Last Change Qualifier right before Valorant Champions. The Champions event will last for two weeks and feature best 16 teams from around the world.
