Royal Never Give Up Sign Ghost and Release Two Players
Royal Never Give Up have completed their Dota 2 roster for the upcoming regional Chinese finals of Dota Pro Circuit 2021/22: Tour II. In addition to 29-years-old semi-support Hu "kaka" Liangzhi, who joined the team last week, the organization also signed Daniel "Ghost" Chan Kok Hong for the carry role.
Ghost is a 24-years-old player from Malaysia, who spent the previous several months with Sparking Arrow Gaming – with them, he placed 5th in the Chinese second DPC season. Earlier this year he also represented 496 Gaming and placed 7th in the first tour of the second division. Earlier in his career he also played for Galaxy Racer (2020 – 2021) and Team Oracle (2020).
To make space for the two new players, the organization parted ways with Zhong "圣子华炼" Liushuai and Chong “FelixCiaoBa” Wei Lun – both of the players represented the team since late 2020. With them in the roster, this year the team competed in the region’s first DPC division, where they placed 3rd in the first tour and 4th in the second tour.
Although RNG managed to qualify for ESL One Stockholm 2022, they and the other Chinese teams will not be able to travel to Sweden and instead will compete in the regional final. It is scheduled for May 6th – 8th and will feature four teams – PSG.LGD, Xtreme Gaming, Team Aster, and RNG – competing for a $100,000 prize pool in a double-elimination bracket.
