Update 10.3 for PUBG is Live with Improvements for Karakin

The main PC client of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been updated to version 10.3. The new update brings an ability to select weapon sound effects, improves lightning on Karakin, enhances performance and more.

Recently the game’s developers started updating sound effects for some of the older weapons, bringing them up to the modern standards. However, many players were used to the old effects and asked for an ability to revert the changes. With the new updates, players will now be able to enable the original effects for the following weapons: M249, M416, Kar98k, SKS.

Karakin, a 2x2 km map initially released almost a year ago, has got a few improvements. First, the developers have updated the overall lightning, making locations brighter. Besides that, they have fixed various bugs to improve general experience of players. The changes come right in time for the map’s release for the mobile game, which is currently in beta testing.

The update also includes several other improvements, including changes to the store and reputation system, as well as performance enhancements and bug fixes. The full list of changes can be found on the official website.
