Virtus.pro and Vici Gaming Eliminated from the Singapore Major

Virtus.pro and Vici Gaming have been eliminated from ONE Esports Singapore Major following the results of the lower bracket’s second round. The teams placed 7th – 8th at the event, each receiving $12,500 in prize money and 200 DPC points.

Being the leaders of the CIS DPC event, Virtus.pro started the major from the playoffs upper bracket. In its first round the team lost to PSG.LGD (0-2) and dropped to the lower bracket. There they defeated Quincy Crew (2-1) and lost to Thunder Predator (0-2).

Meanwhile the third best team of China Vici Gaming started the event from the Wild Card stage, where they placed 2nd with a 3-1-1 score, and then finished 3rd in the group with a 2-4-1 score, advancing to the upper bracket. There however they lost to Invictus Gaming (1-2) and dropped to the lower bracket. After defeating Team Liquid (2-0) yesterday, today the team lost to the Philippine team OB.Neon (1-2).

Tomorrow the event will begin with two lower bracket series – first, Team Secret will face OB.Neon (3:00 AM UK time), and then Invictus Gaming will take on Thunder Predator (6:00 AM). Later Evil Geniuses will play with PSG.LGD within the upper bracket’s finals, which is scheduled for 9:00 AM.

ONE Esports Singapore Major with $500,000 at stake will conclude on April 4th. Besides the prize money, the teams also compete for 2,700 DPC points.
