Virtus.pro Win CS Summit 7, their Third Event in a Row
Virtus.pro have defeated Fnatic in the grand finals of cs_summit 7. The winners claimed $100,000 in prize money, while the runner-up was awarded $50,000. For Virtus.pro, this is the third champions title in a row.
Virtus.pro started the event in Group C, where they placed first after defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas (2-0) and FURIA (2-0). Later in the playoffs the team outplayed NiP (2-0) once again and managed to beat mousesports (2-0). In the final series they emerged victorious at Inferno (16:14) and Vertigo (16:8). Thus, the team managed to win the event without losing a single map.

Virtus.pro have been on a winning streak since December – earlier they emerged victorious at FLASHPOINT League 2 and DreamHack Open December 2020. Later this month they will compete in the Play-In stage of IEM XV – World Championship, a $1,000,000 event scheduled for February 16th – 28th.
