Xizt Ends his Player Career
30-years-old Swede Richard "Xizt" Landström has decided to end his player career after being inactive for almost a year. However, the former player plans to remain in the esports industry.
Xizt started playing Counter-Strike competitively in 2009. He is widely known for being an in-game leader of Ninjas in Pyjamas between 2012 and 2018. With them, he became the champion of the major event ESL One Cologne 2014 and won multiple other notable events, including StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2, two IEM Oakland tournaments, and DreamHack Masters Malmo 2016.
Last year Xizt played for Dignitas, a roster that featured multiple former NiP members. However, due to the team’s poor results Xizt lost his motivation and left the team in November. The player has been inactive since then, considering his options for future. While he decided to stop competing as a player, he still wants to win tournaments in a different role – either as a coach, analyst or a manager.
