Invited Teams for DreamHack Masters Winter North America Revealed

The organizers of DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 have revealed six teams that received direct invites to the event’s North American division, which will be played between November 30th – December 6th.

The invites were issued to Chaos EC, Mythic, New England Whalers, Rebirth Esports, Rugratz and Triumph. These teams will join Team One and Yeah Gaming, who last month shared the first place in the close qualifier.

The event is clearly missing some of the strongest teams in the region, namely Evil Geniuses, Complexity, and FURIA Esports. The reason is that these teams will be competing in the tournament’s European region with $150,000 at stake, as they are currently located there to participate in other big events.

The North American division will start with a group stage with two GSL groups and will continue with a four-teams single-elimination playoffs bracket. The prize pool is set at $50,000.
