North Put MSL and Aizy on Transfer List

The Danish esports organization North has announced that two members of its CS:GO roster – Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen and Philip "aizy" Aistrup – have been benched and listed for transfer. The club promoted Kristoffer "kristou" Aamand to the active roster and signed Rasmus "kreaz" Johansson for a trial period.

Aizy has been part of North since early 2017, while MSL joined the team this January and used to be the team’s in-game leader. With him leaving the roster, this role will be taken over by Nicklas "gade" Gade, while René "cajunb" Borg will take on a mentorship role within the team.

Kristou officially joined North in September – the player was signed from AGF Esports and immediately loaned back to them. Kristou also played for North earlier this summer, and placed with them 7th at cs_summit 6 Online: Europe.

Kreaz is a 22-years-old Swedish player, who earlier played for Syman Gaming, Budapest Five and Epsilon Esports. Next week the team will participate in DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: Europe – they will compete in Group B, their first match is against FURIA Esports.

The organization’s statement on the roster changes clearly indicates that they are trying to cut costs to make the business “more sustainable”. To this end, they plan to focus on recruiting young, promising players and will rework the salary structure.
